MDA/PC coverage
Here we provide information on yearly population coverage by implementation unit (IU), reported by control programmes through the Joint Application Package. Data are collated from treatment registers, and represent the reported numbers treated over the population requiring preventive chemotherapy. Treatment coverage is classified as effective based on disease-specific minimum coverage thresholds defined by WHO: 65% for lymphatic filariasis and onchocerciasis, 75% for soil-transmitted helminthiasis and schistosomiasis, and 80% for trachoma.
These data can be used to evaluate program performance over time and can inform projections on future drug requirements.
