The national party has given approval to resume MDA activities
According to the mass campaign planning which was planned for the last week of March 2020 before the cessation of all activities because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the total number of districts targeted for MDA was 39 including 11 for treatment with DA dual therapy and 28 with IDA triple therapy. Treatment was also planned in June 2020 to target 24 districts.
It is currently the plan to treat the 39 districts (28 IDA and 11 DA planned in the month of March 2020).
Districts which are not yet affected by COVID are being prioritized and it is planned to use drugs with an approaching expiration date.
The second phase of treatment will concern STH, SCH and also the 20 LF districts (16 IDA and 04 DA) towards the end of July or even August.
For the second phase of treatment to be possible, ​​also treating the 24 DA districts planned for treatment in June 2020, additional medication and AFRO funds are needed.
