Endemicity

Here we provide information on endemicity status by implementation unit (IU) for each of the five PC-NTDs (lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, soil-transmitted helminthiasis, schistosomiasis and trachoma). For each IU, the designated endemicity status is that reported by national control programmes through the Joint Application Package. We also indicate IUs that are not considered endemic, those under post-MDA surveillance and those for which endemicity is still not known. These data provide a rapid indication of the populations requiring treatment and are important to help guide targeted implementation.

We also present co-endemicity maps, which highlight implementation units requiring combined medicine packages targeting multiple diseases.
