The objectives of the River Blindness Elimination Program are to:
- Assess the status of each Carter Center-assisted program
- Discuss progress towards meeting the goals for 2018 set at last year’s review
- Assess impediments and problems in program implementation and discuss solutions
- Promote sharing and standardization of information between Carter Center-assisted programs and partner organizations. The review will also set 2019 program objectives, and present recent research findings. Our RBEP Review operates in an integrated environment; thus, our discussions will include presentations that pertain to lymphatic filariasis, schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminth infections.
