Botswana NTD Master Plan 2023-2027- EN

The government of Botswana through the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Skills Development with support from the World Health Organization currently prioritize the control of all NTDs of Public Health Importance in the country and hence the collaboration has been achieved in developing this Master plan. The strategy is to map out the disease distribution and initiate effective control measures until the disease are eliminated in Botswana.

The development of this Master plan involved inputs from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, the Health Research Unit, Institute of Health Sciences, University of Botswana, Central medical stores, and expert advice from the World Health Organization. This tool will be used in conjunction with the NTD control policy in prevention and control of NTDs by all stakeholders throughout the country, thereby contributing to an effective national NTD control program. The document will be reviewed and revised as and when necessary to align it with any new developments.
