Effects on NTD Programs
Programme activities continues but some activities that involve working with partners have slowed down. Because some partners have been made to work on COVID 19 or have returned to their respective countries.
Evaluation survey completed and MDA for some county for Trachoma have been completed while distribution to other locations is being planned.
Government attention is focused on COVID 19, therefore much engagement cannot be done at the moment regarding the global summit on malaria and NTDs.
There was a meeting recently with the new Minister of Health following a change in government. It is anticipated that the global summit may be discussed at another meeting with the minister next week. the plans may change if COVID cases are reported in South Sudan.
