World NTD Day 2026: Protecting Africa’s NTD Progress in the Time of Global Uncertainty

Brazzaville (Congo) - To mark World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Day 2026, Expanded Special Project for the Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (ESPEN) will convene a regional webinar bringing together countries, partners, and stakeholders to reflect on progress, challenges, and priorities for sustaining NTD elimination efforts across Africa. The event aligns with the global World NTD Day theme “Unite, Act, Eliminate” and comes at a critical moment of funding constraints, competing global crises, and the need to protect hard-won gains towards the 2030 targets.
