Second Meeting of the Regional Technical Advisory Group on Urogenital Schistosomiasis (TAG-UGS) [Virtual]
“Review of Regional Tools and Outputs for UGS Integration in the WHO African Region”

Brazzaville (Congo) - WHO AFRO will convene the second (virtual) meeting of the Regional Technical Advisory Group on Urogenital Schistosomiasis (TAG-UGS) on 29 April 2026 (14:00–16:00 Brazzaville time, GMT+1). This meeting follows the inaugural in-person session held in Brazzaville in February 2026 and represents a key step in advancing the regional agenda for integrating urogenital schistosomiasis (UGS) into national health systems.
Building on the recommendations of the first meeting, this session will focus on the review and validation of key regional tools developed to support countries in operationalizing UGS integration. The meeting will bring together TAG members, WHO technical units, and subject matter experts from across multiple domains—including NTDs, sexual and reproductive health, HIV, cervical cancer, mental health, and health systems strengthening—to provide technical input and ensure alignment of tools with country needs and health system realities.
