Defeating schistosomiasis: Join our Roster of Experts

09 Sep 2019

Schistosomiasis is an acute and chronic parasitic disease that is prevalent in tropical and subtropical areas, especially in poor communities without access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation. It is estimated that at least 90% of those requiring treatment for schistosomiasis live in Africa.

The Expanded Special Project for Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (ESPEN) wants to address technical capacity gaps in schistosomiasis and strengthen capacities by expanding its expert roster on schistosomiasis.
